Dear friends and members of UKMBA,
-
Some of you may remember Sis Hoay Hoay from our previous events. She is the cheerful one who often organized the Wesak gatherings andFamily Outings for the past years.
-
For the past many months, however, Hoay Hoay had been facing somepersonal difficulties. Her father passed away in July 2007 afterbattling kidney cancer (4th stage) for half year. Now it is HoayHoay's mother who has 4th stage pancreas cancer. Her mother is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
-
The Excos of UKMBA have decided to make an appeal to all UKMBA membersto help out Hoay Hoay in whatever way we can. We are firstly concernedabout her financial struggle, as she has left her job to look afterher father, and now her mother. The medication for both her parentshad certainly taken a toll on her savings. Secondly, we can all offer our spiritual support and encouragement toher and her mother.
-
Some of us had visited Hoay Hoay and her mother at Teluk Intan, and her mother was very happy to have visitors. Although she seems spiritually strong, let us continue to offer our prayers and metta to them.
-
