About 5min

5min is a place to find short video solutions for practical questions and a place for people to share their knowledge.

The idea behind 5min is very simple: any solution can be visually explained in no more than 5 minutes. Our goal is to create the first communal Life Videopedia allowing users from all over the globe to contribute their knowledge by sharing visual guides in areas such as arts, business, fashion, sports, health, tech, food, and much more.

5min's basic philosophy is that everybody is an expert in something and has something to teach others, so why not share that knowledge for the better of the whole? That's why we created a place to gather that collective knowledge onto one platform.

5min develops software and infrastructure for online video communities. Our website, 5min.com, was developed in-house at our R&D center in Israel.

So what's so special about 5min?

For starters, the Smart Player. To complement the Videopedia vision and bridge the gap between textual and visual information, we developed a special player that allows viewers to watch the video in slow motion or frame by frame, zoom in and out, and more. It also gives the video creator the option to make a storyboard that helps others better understand the demonstration.

In addition, 5min gives each creator a personal promotional Studio – a space to showcase their skills and share their secrets.

5min needs your your knowledge! Pick up a camera, show the world what you're good at and be part of our community. If you know other talented people, invite them to contribute as well.

After all, we all have something to learn from each other. This is the place to start.

New theft technique in Malaysia

New theft technique in Malaysia

Just received this latest theft technique used by robbers. It seems feasible so take heed.

Warning for all the ladies out there; and men please inform your significant other.
(And, hey, it could happen to the guys also!)

The Latest Scam: Robbing Females using the restroom/'ladies'/bathroom at a Shopping Mall.

The way the scam works is, a man slips into a women's rest room and sneaks into a unit. He waits until there is only one woman in the restroom in a neighboring unit/stall. The criminal then stands on the toilet seat and points a handgun into the next unit/stall, demanding the woman's
valuables.

After getting her cash and jewelery, he demands that she remove all of her clothing and kick them out of the unit/stall. The thief tosses the clothing into a shopping bag, hangs an 'out of order sign' on the restroom door outside, and slips back into the mall. The 'out of order sign' ensures no one will soon come to the woman's rescue. It usually takes an hour or two for the woman to work up the nerve to leave the restroom in the nude, giving the criminal ample time to make his getaway. The woman is left naked humiliated in a mall in front of the strangers.

The best defense, says the police, is to never go into a shopping mall restroom alone, as only women who are by themselves are targeted.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW.

This has so far been a nearly perfect crime, as none of the perpetrators have been caught.

Don't let this happen to another woman.

"impressed with" and "impressed by"

What is the difference between "impressed with" and "impressed by" ?

Perhaps the easiest way to answer this question is by giving an example sentence. Look at the following:

Albert impressed me with his ability to analyze a problem.

We can also say:

I was impressed by Albert. (Who impressed me?)
I was impressed with Albert's ability to analyze a problem. (How did he impress me?)

It should be added that while this illustrates the differences between the two ('by' for the person or thing doing the impressing and 'with' for how), in many situations there is an overlap in meaning and either may be used.

Building Self-Confidence

Building Self-Confidence

'There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.'
-Shakespeare

The power of thought is the first step to self confidence and success. Positive thoughts produce positive attitudes. And the more often those thoughts are repeated, the stronger the attitudes become.

Tony Buzan in his book, The Power of Social Intelligence (2002) says that studies of brain cells confirm that once you have the thought, be it positive or negative, the probability of having that thought again is increased. Repetition of any thought increases the repetition of that thought. If we wish to have happier, more successful, confident lives, we need to make increasingly sure that our thoughts are positively directed towards others. This will increase the probability that they will feel positive towards us.

How do we ensure this?

Accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur. When you feel frustrated or upset by a person or a situation, remember that you are not reacting to the person or situation, but to your feelings about the person or situation. When you recognise and understand this, you are ready to take responsibility for your situation and for all the events you see as problems.

Take Responsibility. Don't blame anyone or anything for your situation, including yourself. Having accepted this circumstance, this event, this problem, responsibility then means the ability to have a creative response to the situation as it is now. All problems contain the seeds of opportunity, and this awareness allows you to take the moment and transform it to a better situation or thing.

Change your attitude for greater self confidence and success!

LoveToKnow Free Online Encyclopedia

The LoveToKnow Free Online Encyclopedia is based on what many consider to be the best encyclopedia ever written: the eleventh edition of the Encyclopaedia Britannica, first published in 1911.

While many of the science and health articles are obviously outdated, much of the biographical and historical articles is more complete and in-depth compared to those available elsewhere. At a time when many encyclopedias have capsulated and condensed important knowledge, the 11th edition is generally much more in-depth and thorough on its topics. It is not uncommon for its entries to be 5 to 10 times the length of other encyclopedias.

As a research tool, this 11th edition is unparallelled - even today. LoveToKnow is now giving you all these thousands of entries, preserving the treasured entries that make it so unique, and where necessary and possible adding the current point of view.

We hope that you enjoy and learn from the LoveToKnow Free Online Encyclopedia and that it becomes one of your favorite places for reference information.

The Eleventh Edition filled 29 volumes and contains over 44 million words. It contains over 40,000 articles written by over 1,500 authors within their various fields of expertise.

What was particularly remarkable was that many of the entries were written by the most famous people of the age. As such, it was considered to represent the sum of human knowledge at the beginning of the 20th Century.

Sir Kenneth Clark, in Another Part of the Wood, wrote of the Eleventh Edition:

"One leaps from one subject to another, fascinated as much by the play of mind and idiosyncrasies of their authors as by the facts and dates. It must be the last encyclopedia in the tradition of Diderot which assumes that information can be made memorable only when it is slightly colored by prejudice. When T.S. Eliot wrote 'Soul curled up on the window seat reading the Encyclopedia' he was certainly thinking of the eleventh edition."

BEWARE OF FRIED FOOD

This is a REAL TRUE STORY ...and also Saw Loon told me it happended to her place to Tunjang, Kedah. I think it happended to us too, in PERLIS (Titi Chai Kangar, the pasar malam area where they always selling GORENG PISANG in the noon)

Mom said, my uncle saw they fried the GORENG PISANG they added the STRAW (which we use to drink water) and melted into HOT OIL before fried that why, the GORENG PISANG, GORENG UBI, etc, all very crispy for hours.

And, my uncle could not explain why, and he asked them, they just keep quite. And then whem my uncle told my mom, and we realized this is how to make the foods crispy for a while.

Becareful of Thailand stuffs too

eg:

Crispy Ikan Bilis, Crispy fried onions, which if u leave in the open air for hours still crispy.

Like in CANADA, our place only, we only rain 5-times or less a YEAR.

So, if we leave our breada in open air overnight, next day it will really crispy. Otherwise it will never, because the environment here is very dry, but in Malaysia, it should not be because too moisture there.

Pls forward to all your friends,

DO NOT EAT CRISPY FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD

esp from the hawker !.. try leave it in the open air for hours and see..

Here's another one:

I have been to Cameron Highlands with my family, it was 3 pm++, we are hanging around the market area, we saw many hawker stall doing their business, suddenly something attracted me.

One of the stalls, there was a big wok of oil, there was a half-5-litre empty oil bottle on it.

It's melting slowly in the hot frying oil. I thought it was an unintentional act by a 7-yr-old girl, but when i looked at it closely, i saw a pair of chopstick stiring the bottle, seemed like it was purposely. Immediately, i asked my family to come and check it out. At that moment, the parents of the girl who sat beside, were looking at us ferociously.

Oh my god, they using melted plastic to fry food... the reason is the tit bits will not soften after placing for sometime due to plastic had been harden after melted.

Experiment had been done as below.

One without plastic food is kind of soft after a while ¼add plastic, and fry another once again... it crispier than KFC !!

Please stop eating this hawker's fried food...

Ask your mummu to fry if u want to eat..

This is their secret receipe ...

URGENT! PLS HELP!

Where do you keep your Handphone normally?

This morning I heard a sad real story from my colleague.

She told me one of her friend always miscarriage when the baby 2-3 months old for few times continuously in few years time. The couple went to check with many doctors and lastly one of the doctor check on the dead baby and found out the baby's body cells kept dying when baby growing up until he/she cannot be survived. This is because her uterus has been affected by HANDPHONE radiation. The doctor told her has no chance to get baby no matter how because the radiation affected her uterus which the major portion of her uterus cells already dead, cannot carry healthy baby. All this because of she has been keeping her handphone in her working jacket which the position just right to the uterus positon for few years time. Please beware and take note the consequences is not worth.

Dearest family members,

Please do not overlook the handphone radiation which will affect our health or body organs. Please put away your handphone whenever you don't need it much .

Guys,

Please do not keep your handphone near to the kidney position and pants pocket as this will hurt and affect your 'production' if you plan to get baby.

The other doctor also advice another friend to keep away handphone to her new born baby to avoid radiation to baby's brain and cells. Do not let the baby or toddler play with the handphone for long time. This is because the small young baby or toddler still very fragile and most probably they cannot take the radiation.

Please remind yourself do not sleep together with your handphone or put next to your bed. Keep away any other electronic goods (such as tv also) which got radiation away from your bedroom to reduce risk as we have to sleep few hours a day in our bedroom at night. Do not think that you switch off the TV it will be no radiation actually it is still around in your room just not eyes visible, even the small alarm clock not to be advised to put just next to your head while sleeping.

Care about yourself & your loved ones.

So remember who put you where you are today. Remember who gave you your job. The rakyat can hire and the rakyat can fire. We, the rakyat, made you and we, the rakyat, can break you. Just remember that and with God as our witness we shall not fail to do that if you fail to do what you promised to do.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

Since yesterday I have been receiving a lot of phone calls from people who keep asking me what position I am going to hold in the government. I also have tons of e-mails in my in-box which I have either not read yet or have not replied to thus far. Firstly, can you please stop phoning so that I can get down to writing my article (anyway, I have switched off my phone so that I can complete this article). We can 'chat' about what the opposition needs to do later plus I will reply to all your e-mails once the dust settles.

Now, with regards to my 'position' in the government. No, no and no! I do not wish to hold any position in the government. I know some of you have threatened to 'protest' in front of the party headquarters if I am not offered at least a Senator's post. Hey, I do not want to be a Senator or Wakil Rakyat or anything at all for that matter. I just want to continue being plain Raja Petra Kamarudin, Editor and Webmaster of Malaysia Today -- so please drop all this talk of me 'holding a position in the government'.

Secondly, Malaysia Today is going to continue playing the role of watchdog and the conscience of the nation. We must continue to be the eyes, ears and voice of the rakyat and this must be done with me outside the government. Malaysia Today, which is already a nightmare for the ruling party, is going to now also be the nightmare of the five opposition-led state governments. And we are going to monitor these five states even closer than we watch the federal government.

Now, with regards to the talk floating around that Tok Guru Haji Abdul Hadi Awang has announced that Kedah is going to introduce Hudud laws; this is not true. Tok Guru confirmed he never made such an announcement. The trouble is, many of you wear these 'boycott the mainstream media' T-shirts yet you still read and believe what the mainstream media spins. Would you become terrible offended if I shout 'Bodoh punya orang!'? I really don't know what else to shout under these circumstances.

Let me repeat what I have said many, many times in the past. PAS does not have 150 seats in Parliament. In fact, PAS, DAP and PKR combined do not have 150 seats in Parliament. Read my lips. "PAS NEEDS 150 SEATS IN PARLIAMENT TO CHANGE THE LAWS OF THIS COUNTRY OR OF THE STATES!"

Anyway, 150 seats or no 150 seats, PAS does not intend to introduce Islamic laws, PERIOD.

Okay, can we now get down to some serious work? Our first task in hand is to set up an Ombudsman committee that will monitor all the five state governments of Kelantan, Kedah, Penang, Perak and Selangor. A man such as Tun Salleh Abas or anyone of his calibre must head the Ombudsman committee which will comprise of men and women of standing and with squeaky-clean reputations. They must be people like Gandhi and Mother Theresa both rolled into one. Yes, Malaysia does have plenty of such people.

The Ombudsman must be above the Chief Minister and Menteri Besar. It must have the power and authority to summon even the highest man in the state to come before the committee for questioning on anything at all that may be perceived as wrongdoing, transgressions, deviations, etc. And the Ombudsman must have the power and authority to recommend the removal of any public servant or politician who may have committed a breach of discipline, even if he is the Chief Minister/Menteri Besar.

This Ombudsman shall be responsible to the rakyat. The meetings and official inquiries it conducts must not be behind closed doors but shall be open inquiries where members of the public who may be interested in the goings-on can attend and witness the proceedings. Everything must be transparent and open to public scrutiny. There shall be no secrets. Public servants and elected officials work for the rakyat. The rakyat are the boss. So the 'boss' must be allowed to witness any public inquiry and proceedings convened to look into the conduct of their 'employees'. There must be no compromise on this issue.

The government must not be race-based, and certainly not religion-based. People chosen to head the agencies in any of the five states must be based on capabilities and not because that person is Malay, Chinese or Indian. Granted, the Federal Constitution of Malaysia may state who can be Menteri Besar while the election promise was, if the opposition wins Penang, then a Chinese shall be the Chief Minister. But that must be as far as race considerations prevail. For thereon no positions should be filled because we want more Malays or more Chinese or more Indians in the government.

If qualifications and capabilities become the criteria, then Malays, Chinese and Indians would automatically be represented at all levels of government. Just give him or her the job because he or her is the best person for the job and the racial balance would automatically happen. You do not even need to try too hard.

All ongoing projects must be reviewed. Those that have not taken off yet and which are clearly white elephants, projek mewah, above the recommended cost, etc., should be aborted. Of course, those that have contractual obligations will have to go on lest the state becomes embroiled in legal tangles. But they must be aborted not for the sake of aborting them or because they have been awarded to cronies of 'the other side'. This would smack of political persecution and witch-hunting, something the opposition has accused the government of perpetuating and something we should not do as well.

Take note that the federal government will certainly squeeze the states of funds so money will be very tight. The states will have to engage a high-powered team of financial consultants to advice them on how to run a state government and still develop the state with no money. Kelantan has done it for 18 years. They inherited a colossal amount of debt when they took over Kelantan in 1990 and yet still managed to pay off all the debts plus carry the cost of running the state in spite of no money.

The local councils are more corrupted than the infamous Royal Malaysian Police. This needs to be immediately addressed and many heads should be on the chopping block. The state governments must be ruthless with no quarters asked nor any given. Let there be a 'bloodbath' if necessary. And send the files of all these crooks to the Anti-Corruption Agency and demand that they be hung from the highest tree. The rakyat will gladly pay for the cost of the tree.

The Malays should stop talking about 'percentage of Malay representation', as should the Chinese and Indians as well. We certainly want a meritocracy rather than a race-quota-based system. Nevertheless, no race or community must be left out of the government. So a delicate balancing act between meritocracy, yet taking into consideration racial representation, has to be the game plan here.

Remember, the opposition won these five states plus denied Barisan Nasional its two-thirds majority in Parliament through promises and rhetoric. The consideration of the voters the next election will no longer be based on promises and rhetoric but on performance and delivery. Many promises were made this election. Now is the time to deliver them. Then, come the next election, the voters will either continue electing this same government into office or opt to change back to Barisan Nasional depending on how well or how bad the five state governments have performed.

If you think that winning these five states and denying Barisan Nasional its two-thirds majority in Parliament was difficult, then you do not know what difficult is. Winning five states and denying Barisan Nasional its two-thirds majority in Parliament was the easy part. The difficult part is going to be in maintaining the confidence and support of the voters. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi won 92% of the seats in 2004 based on promises and four years later got massacred when he did not deliver. The same thing can and will happen to the opposition as well come the 13th General Election if it does not perform and/or deliver its election promise.

Malaysia Today is watching. And we shall whack the daylights out of anyone and everyone who misbehaves or forgets his or her promise. The opposition won the five states and 82 seats in Parliament with the support of Malays, Chinese and Indians. It needed all the races to cross the finishing line. Just two races would not have achieved that. One race would have been even more impossible.

So remember who put you where you are today. Remember who gave you your job. The rakyat can hire and the rakyat can fire. We, the rakyat, made you and we, the rakyat, can break you. Just remember that and with God as our witness we shall not fail to do that if you fail to do what you promised to do.

An Open Letter - Appeal for a better Parliament

Contributed by Yeo Yang Poh

Wednesday, 27 February 2008 10:59am

Dear Fellow Malaysians,

It is true that there are things that we Malaysians should be proud of, and be thankful for. It is equally true that many things are not well in our country. They have not been well for some time now. Matters of safety and security, price hikes, education, issues of equal opportunities and equal treatment, constriction of various forms of freedom, marginalisation of several segments of society, the failing justice system, corruption in the public sector, the rising denial syndromes, the arrogance of wrongdoers nourished by their repeated ability to get off scot-free, and the numbness of the public reaction towards misdeeds and the lack of accountability, just to describe a few.

Many of the ills that we complain about in our society are the symptoms of the underlying causes.

Some of the major root causes are:

(a) epidemic corruption in a system that does little to prohibit or redress it,

(b) lack of a system of transparency and accountability,

(c) the suppression of various freedoms so as to turn a silent majority into a silenced majority,

(d) a Government that is more interested in commanding than serving,

(e) a Parliament whose overwhelming majority cares more about power-consolidation than nation-building, and

(f) a weak “last bastion” in the form of a failing justice system.

Can things be allowed to go on this way? Can we afford to do so? Should our future generations suffer the consequences of our permissiveness?

It is quite obvious that we need a better Government and a better Parliament.

But that will not happen if we, the citizens of Malaysia, do little more than blaming the Government and criticizing our Members of Parliament. It is we who put our MPs in the Parliament. It is we who must take the ultimate responsibility. The buck stops at each and every one of us.

My earnest appeal to everyone is therefore as follows:

(i) discuss the need for a better Parliament and a better Government, with your family members, colleagues, friends and persons close to you;

(ii) make it a point to go and vote in the next election, and to vote for change and for betterment;

(iii) discard the notion or excuse that your single vote will not matter;

(iv) discard the notion or excuse that politics is dirty and all politicians are the same, and therefore that there is no point in voting;

(v) influence and encourage as many of your family members, colleagues, friends and persons close to you as possible, to come out and vote for change and for betterment in the coming election.

It is meaningless for us to complain about our Parliamentarians and the Government, if we do not first discharge a simple but sacrosanct duty of choice.

Let us all take the time to look into the beautiful but expectant eyes of our children, and of the children of many others for whom we care. The future of our nation is meant for them. But millions of them cannot vote. They put their fate in our hands. They rely on us not just for their present living and support. They rely on us, too, to vote for a better future for them.

And after discharging our duty to vote, we must continue to be vigilant, and ensure that our elected representatives account for their actions, and make good their promises.

I humbly suggest to you that change and betterment are not empty dreams, if all of us play our respective parts. I invite you, and I urge you, to answer my appeal as set out above.

Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Melayu Umno dan Cina DAP bodoh

Posted by Raja Petra

Thursday, 06 March 2008

Tunku Abdul Rahman, Bapa Merdeka, refused to join Umno Baru in 1988, as did Tun Hussein Onn. Both these founding fathers of Malaysia died outside Umno. They wanted to have nothing to do with Umno. They went to their graves despising the new Umno, which they said no longer represented what Umno stood for.

NO HOLDS BARRED

Raja Petra Kamarudin

The government is saying: Melayu Umno bodoh! That is not what I am saying. That is what the government is saying. And because Melayu Umno bodoh, the government has cancelled the plan to mark the fingers of voters to prevent them from voting twice.

The government has spent millions to import this ink from India. But it seems others have also imported the same so the government has no choice but to cancel the plan to mark the voters' fingers because these unknown people who have also imported this ink plan to trick the Umno Malays and sabotage them from voting.

According to the government that has declared Melayu Umno bodoh, those who have also imported the Indian ink plan to tell the government supporters, the Umno Malays, that they must first mark their fingers before they can vote. Then, when they go to the polling stations, they will not be allowed to vote since their fingers have already been marked with Indian ink.

Of course, the cleverer opposition supporters will not allow their fingers to be marked before they vote. It is only the government supporters, the Melayu Umno bodoh, whose fingers will be marked. So the opposition supporters will still get to vote. It is the government supporters, the Melayu Unmo bodoh, who will not be allowed to vote because only these people would be stupid enough to allow their fingers to be marked before they vote rather than after they vote like the opposition supporters.

The government appears to have no confidence in its supporters. The government feels that its supporters are all stupid enough to fall for this ploy. The government appears to believe that the opposition supporters are not stupid enough to fall for this trick. Therefore, it is the government that will lose votes because only its supporters are stupid enough to allow their fingers to be marked before they vote while this will not happen to the opposition supporters.

The government feels that the Chinese and Indians will swing to the opposition. Many Malays will as well, of course. So the government needs as many Malay votes as it can get, in particular in the rural areas. The Chinese and Indians who will vote opposition will not fall for this trick. Neither will the Malays who vote for the opposition. It is only the Malays who vote for the government who are stupid enough to fall for this trick. So the government needs to cancel the plan to use Indian ink to mark the fingers of the voters lest the number of votes it gets is reduced due to trickery.

I am not a Malay who supports the government so I am not offended that the government thinks that Malays who support the government are stupid. Some Umno Malays want my citizenship withdrawn for criticising the government and which therefore, according to them, makes me a 'traitor to the Malay race'. Yes, that's right, if you oppose Umno then you are a traitor to the Malay race.

I have no problems if they wish to withdraw my citizenship. They can even withdraw my Melayuship as well if they want to. Hey, a Malay is automatically a Muslim. So if they wish to withdraw my Islamship as well that is also okay with me. Then, when the government declares that Melayu Umno bodoh, I would not be included in that group. There is, after all, some small blessing in losing your citizenship, Melayuship and Islamship. I would automatically lose my bodohship as well.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad probably agrees with what the government says. Mahathir said, a few months ago, that the trouble with the Malays is that even if they put a block of wood (tunggul kayu) as a candidate, as long as it is a Barisan Nasional candidate, the voters will vote for him or her.

The Malays are very emotional and unrealistic, lamented Mahathir on another occasion. The Chinese are more pragmatic, added Mahathir. Why can't the Malays be more like the Chinese? sighed Mahathir.

Melayu mudah lupa, complained Mahahir on yet another occasion. Yes, Mahathir should know that by now. When I was Prime Minister, the Umno Malays would fall over each other in rushing to kiss my hands, Mahathir related during one public speaking event. Today, they are scared of being seen with me and will not even take my calls, lamented Mahathir. If that is not the best example of Melayu mudah lupa then I don't know what is.

Mahathir received another dose of Melayu mudah lupa recently when Umno refused to allow his son to contest in Langkawi. Langkawi would not exist if not because of Mahathir. Mahathir made Langkawi into what it is today. But, today, Mahathir's son is not welcome in Langkawi. Instead, they sent him to Jerlun to contest. But he was sent to Jerlun not to win. He was sent to Jerlun to be slaughtered. First they deny Mahathir's son a seat in Langkawi. Then they send him to Jerlun to get slaughtered. Melayu Umno mudah lupa my dear Tun, Melayu Umno mudah lupa. But I am not a Melayu Umno, Tun, so I never lupa. And now Umno says that Melayu Umno bodoh as well.

Yesterday, I was in Penang. There were numerous ceramahs organised all over Penang. The police granted the organisers permits for these ceramahs but on condition that I would be barred from speaking. Haris Ibrahim and Ronnie Lui were also banned from speaking. I still spoke nevertheless. I spoke at Jalan Raja Uda. I was waiting for the police to come a calling and if they shout, "Hoi, you think this is your grandfather's road or what?" I would have replied, "Yes it is, my grandfather was Raja Sir Tun Uda."

Melayu Mudah lupa, as Mahathir says. My grandfather became Penang's First Governor immediately after Merdeka on 31 August 1957. He was Governor for 15 years. Today, 50 years later, the grandson of the First Governor is barred from speaking in Penang.

Anyway, my grandfather never joined Umno. None of my family did. My father supported what he perceived as the first true multi-racial party at that time, Gerakan. And he proudly declared that he voted for Gerakan in the 11 May 1969 general election.

Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tun Hussein were great men. And these great men turned their backs on Umno. I would rather follow the footsteps of great men such as those than support a party that declares Melayu Umno bodoh and then cancels the plan to mark the fingers of voters because government supporters would allow their fingers to be marked before they vote instead of after.

Actually, cancelling the plan to mark the fingers of voters is not about Melayu Umno bodoh at all. I know many Umno Malays and I have great respect for them. Not all Umno Malays are slimeballs and scumbags, just like not all opposition people are angels. You have good and bad people in any society. One must not be labelled good or bad based on their race, religion or political affiliation but based on the person that they are.

Barisan Nasional is running scared. According to intelligence agency reports, Kelantan, Terengganu, Perlis, Kedah and Penang will fall to the opposition. Even Johor, which has never seen a single seat fall to the opposition thus far, may see the loss of ten seats or more. That would have been unheard of even just one year ago. On last count, the opposition may capture up to 90 seats in Parliament. It needs 75 seats to deny Barisan Nasional its two-thirds majority in Parliament.

The Chinese and Indian votes are a forgone conclusion. The Chinese and Indians are voting opposition. Barisan Nasional has to work on the Malay seats to stay in power. So they will raise racial and religious issues these next 48 hours to frighten the Malays into voting Barisan Nasional.

Tonight, the Deputy Prime Minister 'revealed' a 'secret pact' between PAS and DAP. They hope the Chinese will get scared and abandon DAP lest PAS gets into power and 'chops of people's hands'. Najib has reduced Islam to merely 'chopping of hands'. That, to Najib, is what Islam is all about, hand-chopping.

Are all Chinese bank robbers? Will we see every Chinese in Malaysia without hands once PAS comes into power? Do not the Chinese resent the insinuation that there is not an honest Chinese in Malaysia and all Chinese will go to their graves with no hands? I hope the Chinese are not that stupid and will be able to figure out that if it is crooks who will suffer severed limbs then it will be those who walk in the corridors of power who will suffer this since they are the crooks and scoundrels. If I were Chinese, I would vote PAS just so that PAS can come into power and we can enjoy the pleasure of seeing all our ex-ministers walking around without hands.

Anyway, PAS is contesting just 60 seats so there is no way a party that contests only 60 seats can win 150 seats. And PAS will need 150 seats to amend the Federal Constitution of Malaysia and turn Malaysia into an Islamic State and then start cutting off the hands of crooks and bank robbers. The government has said Melayu Umno bodoh. I hope, after 8 March 2008, I do not have to start saying Cina DAP bodoh. I hope that the DAP Chinese will read the statement from PAS that they are not pursuing the Islamic State agenda any longer. They can't anyway, even if they win all the 60 seats they are contesting -- and they can never win all the 60 seats to begin with.

Najib says that the Chinese should reject DAP because DAP is working with PAS and PAS supports an Islam State. Najib is therefore saying that he too does not support an Islamic State. Najib says that the Malays should reject PAS because PAS is working with DAP and DAP supports a Secular State. Najib is therefore saying that he too does not support a Secular State. To the Malays, Najib says he does not support a Secular State and, to the Chinese, he says he does not support an Islamic State. So what then does Najib support? Well, it all depends on who he talks to. If he talks to the Chinese, he will whack the Islamic State and, if he talks to the Malays, he will whack the Secular State. Najib thinks that Melayu Umno bodoh and Cina DAP bodoh as well. Yang pandai Najib seorang saja.

Expect more of this the next 48 hours as Polling Day gets closer. Desperate people will do desperate things. And the loss of five states plus 90 seats in Parliament requires desperate measures. That will be what will happen these next 48 hours. Tapi jangan Melayu dan Cina semua jadi bodoh. India sudah celek mata. Melayu dan Cina maseh tutup mata ke?

A woman at a bar on a Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who, according to hospital and police reports, gang raped her before dumping her. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes, along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood and Progesterex, essentially a small sterilization pill.

The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims. Progesterex is available to vets to sterilize large animals. Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, the date rape
drug
.

As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into the girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before. Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't get pregnant; she won't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later.

The drug's effects ARE NOT TEMPORARY - They are
P*E*R*M*A*N* E*N*T!!! Progesterex was designed to sterilize horses.. Any female who takes it will
NEVER BE ABLE TO CONCEIVE... The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university.

It's that easy, and Progesterex is about to break out big on campuses everywhere. Believe it or not, there are even sites on the Internet telling people how to use it.
Please forward this to everyone you know, especially girls... Be careful when you're out and don't leave your drink unattended.

Please make the effort to forward this on to all you know... Guys, please inform all your female friends and relatives!

The main causes of liver damage

Good rest and sound sleep is very
Important... if u don't sleep well,
The toxic in your body will accumulate..
Affecting your health and your mood...

The main causes of liver damage are:
1.
Sleeping too late and waking up too late are the main cause.
2. Not urinating in the morning.
3. Too much eating.
4. Skipping breakfast.
5. Consuming too much medication.
6. Consuming too much preservatives, additives, food coloring, and artificial sweetener.
7. Consuming unhealthy cooking oil. As much as possible reduce cooking oil use when frying, which includes even the best cooking oils like olive oil. Do not consume fried foods when you are tired, except if the body is very fit.
8. Consuming overly done foods also add to the burden of liver. Veggies should be eaten raw or cooked 3-5 parts. Fried veggies should be finished in one sitting, do not store.

We just have to adopt a good daily lifestyle and eating habits. Maintaining good eating habits and time condition are very important for our body to absorb and get rid of unnecessary chemicals according to "schedule."

Because: Evening at 9 - 11pm : is the time for eliminating unnecessary/ toxic chemicals (de-toxification) from the antibody system (lymph nodes). This time duration should be spent by relaxing or listening to music. If during this time a housewife is still in an unrelaxed state such as washing the dishes or monitoring children doing their homework, this will have a negative impact on her health.

Evening at 11pm - 1am : The de-toxification process in the liver, and ideally should be done in a deep sleep state. Early morning 1 - 3am : de-toxification process in the gall, also ideally done in a deep sleep state.

Early morning 3 - 5am : de-toxification in the lungs. Therefore there will sometimes be a severe cough for cough sufferers during this time. Since the de-toxification process had reached the respiratory tract, there is no need to take cough medicine so as not to interfere with toxin removal process.
Morning 5 - 7am : de-toxification in the colon, you should empty your bowel.

Morning 7 - 9am : Absorption of nutrients in the small intestine, you should be having breakfast at this time. Breakfast should be earlier, before 6:30am, for those who are sick. Breakfast before 7:30am is very beneficial to those wanting to stay fit. Those who always skip breakfast, they should change their habits, and it is still better to eat breakfast late until 9 -10am rather than no meal at all. Sleeping so late and waking up too late will disrupt the process of removing unnecessary chemicals. Aside from that, midnight to 4am is the time when the bone marrow produces blood.

Therefore, have a good sleep and don't sleep late.

Live Well

The best kept e-secret at JPJ

The best kept e-secret at JPJ

By TEH ENG HOCK

PETALING JAYA:

Few drivers realise that they can renew their driving licences online without having to leave the comfort of their homes.

And for a small fee, they can even have their licence renewal slip delivered to them by registered mail or courier.

With few knowing about the facility available on the Road Transport Department's (JPJ) website since April last year, the response to the online renewal service has been poor.

JPJ director-general Datuk Ahmad Mustapha Abdul Rashid said only 687 people renewed their licences online so far, way short of the 1,000-driver target expected in the first year of implementation. Every year, some seven million motorist renew their licences.

"Maybe it is because it has not been promoted enough by the e-services (concessionaires).

"But hopefully things will pick up. Malaysians are a bit sceptical at first (about new technology), but later on they will accept and use it, like on-line banking," he told The Star.

He also added that there were 11 million Competent Driver's Licence (CDL) holders in the country.

Drivers' may renew their CDL by accessing the JPJ website at www.jpj.gov.my, and clicking on the CDL Renewal Online link.

Applicants need to provide the usual personal particulars, such as their MyKad number, licence expiry date and their mobile phone number.

Via the online form, they can choose to renew their licences from one to five years, as well as decide on how they would like to collect and pay for the renewal slip.

The fee remain the same – a renewal fee of RM30 per year and a processing fee of RM2. Drivers who want their licences delivered to them will be charged a small delivery fee between RM5 and RM10, depending on location.

Those who do not want the renewal slip may head to any state JPJ branch to upload the renewal information into their MyKad.

Applicants can also choose to collect their renewal slip from one of the many e-service centres in the country, which are operated by e-services concessionaires MyEG Services Bhd and mySPEED Sdn Bhd. Payment can be made via credit card, or electronic online payment systems such as e-cash and e-debit.

Ahmad Mustapha assured users that the system was secure and reliable.

"So far, I haven't heard anything about the system going down. And it is safe to provide your financial details. There have been no complaints," he said.

By renewing their licences online, drivers will no longer have to worry about forgetting to renew their licences in future, as the system will send a reminder via SMS to the mobile phone number provided.

BE CAREFUL HOW YOU LIST NAMES ON YOUR CELL PHONE

Please read on :-

A lady friend has changed her habit of how she lists her names on her Mobile phone after her handbag was stolen.

Her handbag which contained her mobile phone, credit card, purse...etc. ... was Stolen.

20 minutes later when she called Her Hubby from a pay phone telling him What had happened,

Hubby says "I've just received your text asking about our Pin number and I've replied a little while ago."

When they rushed down to the bank, the bank staff told them all the money Was already withdrawn.

The pickpocket had actually used the stolen hand phone to text "hubby" in The contact list and got hold of the pin number.

Within 20 minutes he had withdrawn all the money from the bank account.

Moral of the lesson:

1. Do not disclose the relationship between you and the people in your contact List.

2. Avoid using names like Home, Honey, Hubby, sweetheart, Dad, Mum etc.......

3. And very importantly, when sensitive info is being asked thru texts (SMS), CONFIRM by calling back .

4. Also, when you're being texted (SMS) by friends or family to meet them somewhere,

Be sure to call back to confirm that the message came from them.

If you don't reach them, be very careful about going places to meet "family and friends" who text (SMS) you.

PLEASE PASS THIS ON.
